Fiction Books
Wells wrote many of the foundational texts of Science Fiction (or Scientific Romance as called in the time) as well as novels of Victorian and Edwardian life that compare favorably with the works of Charles Dickens for insight into social conditions of England in the time periods covered.
The most influential time travel story ever published.
Wells is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle that allows an operator to travel purposely and selectively forwards or backwards in time.
